My friend has a 1999 Daewoo Nubria with 85,000 miles. The timing belt broke and bent the valves. A profesional mechanic remanufactured the head and fixed the timing belt. The car sounds and feels like it runs good now. Is this car worth the risk of buying?? thanx

If everything was repaired I don't know exactly what you think the risk would be. For a running car I think $1000 isn't too bad of a deal.

I would stay away,parts availability is poor and getting worse.Plus,those cars have no re-sale value and are the butt of many jokes
Nubira=a small Sub-Saharan country
Lanos=a small town near Austin,TX
Leganza=a skin infection,easily removed nowadays by laser

I would check the web for that manufacture & see what type of recall history it has, then also did your freind get a warranty for the work which would roll over to you?
also check the Kelly bluebook value.

If the body is in good shape that would be a fair price.
