Is there something that I'm missing? I'm 22 and let's just say that I like wearing comfortable stuff. I'm not a fashion guru but I can pull a few tricks out of my sleeve now and then. The one trick I can't figure out is how to wear heels without killing my feet. Any tips would be wonderful.

Practice.
Actually eventually you get used to it ~ or your feet go numb and you forget about it!! Just kidding! I had to work up to a full day of it. I always used to carry some back-up shoes in my car for when my feet couldn't take the heels anymore. And heels that have a wider heel are MUCH more comfortable for all day.

Also, really try on the heels before you leave the store and walk around with both of them on. Some of the brands that make orthopedic shoes are branching out to more of a buying audience and they are coming out with some cuter shoes. Also, make sure you aren't wearing the really high heels (Jessica Simpson brand is notorious for these but VERY CUTE). typically the really cheap cute shoes are not good for your feet and are NOT by any means comfortable.
You may want to look for the inserts that you can put into heels for the balls of your feet or even at the back of your ankles...they seem small and inconsequential in their packaging but they really do help.

Sorry but fashion hurts! All i can say is that heels will hurt especially if your on your feet for a long time. The best thing i can suggest is to try to limit the amount of time your on your feet with heels and also they have this new thing that you can put in you heels that add a cushiony softness to make it more comfortable, but like i said fashion hurts so if your on your feet for a long time expect a little or alot of pain.

I think the secret to walling in high heels is first to find the most comfortable ones you can find then wearing them as often as you can. At least around the house every day for a short time so you can get use to walking in them. Also walk outside because different ground will make you walk different. Sometimes it just takes experience.
Good Luck.

i've found it helpful to put more of your weight on the front of the shoe for more support instead of on a tiny heel. it also helps to practice walking around your house just to get used to them. not all heels are uncomfortable. you just have to find some that fit your feet.

walk around the house in them or even wear them while walking-SLOWLY-on the treadmill or at the gym :-) watch Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion-there is a scene where they wear heels to the gym
