I've never heard of feeding crickets fish food, but i know you can feed them calcium supplement cricket food to give your beardie more calcium.

Glad your beardies are doing so well, you sound like a great owner!

It is true that crickets will eat fish food but they will go through a ton of it and it is not very nutritous and since what you feed the cricket will ultimately end up in your dragon you want to feed them as nutritiously as possible. I would suggest dog food, it is much cheaper and more nutritious to boot. I also feed my crickets with the tough stems from the dragon's greens, they are too tough for the dragons but the crickets love them. They also help to add moisture for the crickets and that really helps to keep them alive longer. I have also fed them bearded dragon pellets and they love them too.

actually fish food is what some hatcheries use to feed the crickets. is high in many vit and mins that beardies need. and it certainly will not hurt either your beardies or your crickets. I would use a gut load that is designed for beardies if you can. I would not be afraid to use fish food to feed my crickets on a daily basis but to give them that little bit of kick to really pack in the necessary requirements for your beardies at least 2 days before begin gutloading with a specific formula designed for beardies or at least rep's.

That's exactly what we feed our crickets in my store. We would use the commercialy available Gut Load food but we can't get it in large enough sizes. Fish food has a lot of protein and is relatively inexpensive. We order about 10,000 crickets a week and they seem to do well on the fish food. But don't forget to give them a water source in which they can't drown in.

We have 3 geckos and multiple fish.
I checked out the ingrdients to fish food as in the ammount we use it, it is expensive.

The ingredients turned out to be exactly the same as cat biscuits.
So we now put the cat biscuits through a blender till it is a rough powder. We also get 3 packs of prawns and slowly micro wave it till it is hard and send that through the blender too and mix it all up in a sealed box .
It lasts for ages

We feed our crickets this home made fish food and they thrive and breed.

We have used this method for a bout 7 years now without any problem

NOTE:
don't use dog biscuits there is too much oil in them

I also have a lovely Bearded Dragon, who we all adore!!

I took my BD to the vets just for a check up when I first got him & to make sure that I was doing everything right & it was there that the vet told me u can feed crickets fish food, which was great as we also have tropical fish.
I also give them fresh fruit & veg.

Glad u love your BD's so much! They are wonderful pets! :-)

yes you can use fish flakes to feed your cricks, also you can feed veg, fruit, any type of wheat product i.e. weetabix, or just buy a gut load product from reptile shop but these are usually more expensive.
