I can't believe people r going nuts about these pickups. Who the hell is Kelly Washington. Donte Stallworth t way overrated, along with Adalius Thomas. Anybody can succeed in the Ravens defense. Linebackers r supposed 2 make plays, so why is it such a big deal when they do. Thomas was not getting blocked because Ray Lewis has 2 be accounted 4, and then u have 2 block their good lineman. Wes Welker will fit into the system, but these other guys have too big egos 2 fit in.
These r average pickups, they don't help the team much.

Ima Jet fan, wondering how Kelly Washington all of a sudden elevates a team 2 winning the super bowl.
The way people r talking about these pickups, we should just give them the trophy.

I agree, though I think Thomas will help give some much needed support against the run. He's pretty good from what I've seen.
Stallworth is always hurt. Mr. Hamstring. This is in part because of his work ethic, or lack thereof. He could be great, but I expect he'll be in the Hooded One's dog house.
Washington is just a guy. He's a space filler, until when and if Chad Jackson heals up.
Wes Welker is a shrimp. I can't see him doing much, except as a kick returner.
I'm not sure what the blueprint is, but maybe the draft will tell more. They need another tailback to help spell Maroney.

I'd agree with to a point. Adalius Thomas is a very good LB, good pickup for the Pats. Stallworth has been an underachiever his career but he does give them a veteran WR, OK pickup. Wesley Walker they seriously overpaid to get him, he's a #3 WR at best and a PR. Sammy Morris is often injury and has rarely been very productive and Kelly Washington is a project. Kyle Brady WAS a good TE in his day but he is getting old and has been injured a lot the past few years and definitely not what he once was.

Well first of all these were great picks and i don't see anybody going nuts....Kelly Washington was picked up to add depth and donate stallworth is a fast wide out who teams always have to keep an eye or he will burn you i admit he's not the greatest receiver but he might be better than anyone we had last year and that's improvement and that's all you want out of your off season...Thomas is a great great pick up b/c he can play many pos. including LB DE and even alitte DB and a player like that should fit very well into the pats system.....and believe me these are not average pick ups and they help the team out in a big way

This is the Patriots we are talking about, if Thomas, Stallworth, Washington, and Welker had big egos they would not be Patriots, Pioli and belicheck know what they are doing, as they have proven.
Thomas is a younger faster more athletic version of vrabel, who maybe had 2 good years left in him, in which Thomas will have fully grasped the system
Stallworth, Welker, and Washington all fill basic roles, Stallworth is the deep threat the Pats have lacked since Patten left, Welker is the do-everything guy, and a team player (think troy brown, welker once kicked for the dolphins) Washington will not see much time, he might not even make the team
Also, you forgot Kyle Brady, who will be a key piece of the Pats offense during blocking situations, as Graham was.

Their pickups look good on paper, but unfortunately football is played on a field not paper. The team chemistry will be interesting with guys like Stallworth & Washington, who can be malcontents. Adalius Thomas will be good, but he'll only be great if the Patriots other linebackers can be relevant enough to get attention from blockers. Welker is a consumate Patriot, so good move getting him. Excellent point about Ray Lewis.

Q1. particular, there exists the flair that Tebow could be a back-as much as Brady. he's a QB. the assumption of having him play yet another place in basic terms does not look to make an excellent variety of expertise, a minimum of appropriate now. Q2. i does not be shocked to be certain Belichick use Tebow in the Wild-Cat place. Regardless, i think of that Belichick and his coaches will paintings with Tebow in some way, to surprisingly advance his playing potential, in however place. Q3. No Tebow's presence in New England won't reason an identical issues as with the Jets. Belichick runs a especially tight deliver. I assume that however media "circus" that's general for following Tebow would be rapidly stopped by way of Belichick. he's an "old-college" NFL coach. he would know what to do. i'm particular he spent fairly an excellent variety of time discussing and interpreting the professionals and cons of signing Tebow.

Gee, this warms my heart.
I remember people warning that Rodney Harrison lost a step or that Corey Dillon was a locker room cancer. Tell me again how Thomas was average and Donte was just over rated.:)
