for more than nice in every way, call them menche
for more than bad, classify them as a schmuck
Both of these words are common in english usage, though of yiddish origin.
Terms for "Cool" are generation specific.
If you are younger, then Crazy or insane work. If you are middle ager, then rad, far out, or tripping might work, or if older, use words like swell, dandy or bees knees.
