If you mean drive way, I do not think it's illegal (unless there is a sign posted...even then it might not be illegal to turn your vehicle around). If you mean "yard" as in their grass...well, I think they could make a case against it as damaging their private property.

Turning around to keep away from a roadblock isn't unlawful (assuming which you're at a region the place it would ideally be legal). besides the fact that, such an action could be interpreted with the help of an purpose observer (i.e. the officers working a highway block and a choose at a later listening to) as an attempt to ward off or flee the line block. The U.S. superb court docket has discovered that flight from regulation enforcment creates "real looking suspicion" authorizing a short provide up and detention to verify the clarification at the back of that flight. My adventure has been that an substantial sort of individuals attempting to ward off highway blocks are the two intoxicated or suspended or have incredible warrants or contraband.

That's funny. I think your drivers license is issued for you to drive a vehicle on a public roadway. Private property doesn't have to same rules & regulations as a public road/street. Most places in the U.S. have laws that strictly forbid a motor vehicle to be driven on or parked in a persons yard. Anyone with a valid drivers license should know the laws of the City of town that they are driving in. You don't need a sign to know that it is against the law to enter a persons property without their permission. If you do, then you can be cited or arrested for tresspassing on that property. Even if YOU own the property & you must drive over a sidewalk to get into your yard, you could be in violation of your towns laws!!!

Don't make any diff if a sign is posted or not. If you turn around in someones yard, you are in the wrong. And, you can be arrested. If you don't believe me, try turning around in my yard.

Turn around in the driveway. That is not trespassing. If you damage the lawn, that is called "turfing", and that is against the law.
