Is Final Fantasy Tactics Advance for the GBA exactly like the original, Final Fantasy Tactics for the PS1? What are the differences?

The major differences are the Class system, while still having classes there are different races which have class restrictions, along with race specific summonings in FFTA.
Another huge difference is the law system.. battles have certain restrictions.. that when violated cause you to recieve yellow cards, followed by a punishment at the end of a battle.. if you break the law(s) too many times your character that broke them will be put in jail.. very annoying but there is a way around it, you can buy and also recieve law breaking cards that you can use before a fight. Other then those 2 major differences its pretty much the same game, grid based combat with melee and magic, the skill system is similar to FFIX, that you equip gear and slowly learn the skill on it.

Another main difference is that the story lines aren't the same. I only played the gb version once but i own the ps1 version and from what I've seen the story's are completely different.
