Mine is not really a song, from the 70's in the heat of Viet Nam war. It is called An open letter to a teenage son by Vic Lundburg. Give it a listen sometime.

You know the song Imagine, by John Lennon? Well, A Perfect Circle did a cover of that song not too long ago...really sends chills down my spine. The version by John Lennon gets to me too, because the lyrics are so deep, but the music and voice my Maynard in A Perfect Circle really adds a creepy touch to it.

That's "Southern Man," by Neil Young (not "Southern Cross"...). In "Sweet Home Alabama," the singer says "Well, I hope Mr. Young will remember, a Southern man don't need him around anyhow." He was referring to the message in Neil's "Southern Man" and "Alabama."
