British football is the sport that is known throughout the world as football or similar and actually involves skill. You play it by kicking a circular ball into 2 goals.
American football is known throughout what most americans call the world (ie the USA). It is barely played with the feet and is similar to rugby though involves much less skill.

Well, british football is played without pads and by different rules than american football..which is considered to be more dangerous due to the physical aspect of the game. American football is played with teams each having an opportunity to score, one after another while british football each team has the chance to control the ball at any given time of the game.

It is more like American football and World football lol. Well, they are completely different games with the same name. Um...Football is a bit like rugby. The games are very different from each other, but they do have a similar concept. American football and rugby both involve a lot of throwing (of the ball) and tackling. Soccer is an entirely different sport from American football with an entirely different format. It mainly involves the kicking of the ball around and such.

Firstly there is no such game called soccer.
As far as I can see American football is more of a strategy game with a rugby ball.
Football is the mother of all team ball games involving individual and team skill. However, this has evolved from a brutish origin with very little rules and will probably continue to evolve into something very different.
Both games will probably end up as a close approximation of "Roller Ball" (seen the film?) to keep the money coming in.
As one of the contributers has said all players are over paid and it is spoiling the game due to over commercialism - the reason why England don't appear to be successful anymore - they need to be more hungry to win.
You did ask!

They are actually two different sports. One is soccer which is very popular around the world. While American Football is widely popular across the nation and resembles something close to rugby.
