When you reinstalled Windows, you probably didn't install the drivers for the network card (and possibly other things, as well). Check out your device manager (System Properties>Hardware tab) & see if there are any items with exclamation points. If this is the case, you will need to find the CD that came with the computer that has the drivers on it to install them, or download them from the internet (obviously, you'll need to use another computer until you get the network card working).

After formating you need to install all the drivers for your hardware which includes the network card and that is why you can't connect..

The drivers are usually within the CDs with you computer.. Just install them and check:
Control Panel ---> System ----> Hardware (Tab) ---> Device Manager

There should be no yellow question marks, if there were then it means that the hardware needs a driver and it is not functioning at the moment..

Hope this helps & good luck,

sounds like your reinstall of windows did not install the network drivers. You need the drivers for your network card in order to get it connected.
