hot water expands rubber

Well... actually the circumfrerence would get smaller but the length would get longer and the temp of the water doesn't matter. Here's why:

Imagine yourself holdng a tied up balloon by the 'knot' above water. The balloon's shape is that it is due to the pressure with in the balloon and the outside atmospheric pressure and the 'flexiblity' of the balloon material. Let's assume it is pretty close to round.

Now.. pull that same balloon underwater (hot or cold). If you continue to hold on the 'knot' the balloon with stretch out (getting skinnier) as you go deeper into the water as the air tries to rise above the water surface. If you can get it far enough under water to release the knot and let the balloon rise, again it will retain a stretched out shape as it shoots upward above the water.

Hot or cold water doesn't matter as the temperature will have a minor effect on the balloon when compared to the change in the pressure on the outside of the balloon.

Hope this answers the question!

It would get larger since the air inside expands due to heat.

If the balloon exerted the same force regardless of how stretchedit was, the circumference would increase. Since balloons don't actually do this, your mileage may vary.

Larger, the heat would loosen the latex creating less pressure inside allowing for a minute expansion.

Assuming you imply inflate relatively than explode? out of your man or woman lungs? the quantity of paintings your lungs would could do would be against the burden of the water, as they in many situations paintings against the resistance of air, i assume its quite no longer likely. you will probable purely take a proportion of your lung quantity and the rest would be misplaced. you will additionally want a one way valve linked to the balloon because of fact the stress of the water on the balloon would relatively stress the air out. you will want a pressurised gas cylinder to inflate the balloon.
