At Bellagio, they will ask for your cardkey and scan it and ask your name so I wouldn't risk it there. If you are intent on doing this, I would wait for a large group of people to enter the pool area at the same time and try to blend in with them or wait until the attendant is preoccupied with other guests and just walk by before he notices. Sometimes, confident attitude will be enough to get you where you want to go. I never wait in line at the buffets. I always go to the "Invited Guests" line, which is usually empty, and walk right up to the front like I own the place. When the host approaches, I look her right in the eye and say "Two for non-smoking" before she can say anything. They have never ever asked me for ID or anything and I go right in! I only wish it worked at the nightclubs! Good Luck.

No, old hotel room keys will not automatically guarantee you access to hotel "extras". If you're talking about the magnetic-strip ones, the readers can be changed periodically so that old ones no longer work. Or old cards can be invalidated in the system if they go missing.

Otherwise, hotels couldn't give you a new key to your room, and prevent the old one from allowing a thief in. :)

If you're talking about a physical key -- well, that has better chance of still working, IF the physical lock is still in place. Most hotels have transitioned to the keycard system because of the flexible reprogramming that provides better security against just what you're trying to accomplish.

Normally old hotel room keys are deactivated. So, no they shouldn't work. You may want to call the hotel(s) you are looking into and ask them their hotel key policy and see if they deactivate old room keys. If your room key has not been deactivated you may want to request the same room you previously stayed in and see if you could get a discount since you kept the key. (Or if they are supposed to deactivate the keys and did not then you could probably pursuade them into giving you a discount.) But sneaking into rooms with old activated keys is illegal, besides someone else may be staying in that room. Not sure about pools, but most hotels don't mind pool guests as long as you're not causing trouble.

Depends on what pool you go to. The only one I would risk it at is the Luxor. They are pretty laid back when it comes to their pool.

As far as the best pool goes; I guess it would depend on what you wanted to do. I will give you my top 3:

1. Golden Nugget
2. Cesar's Palace
3. Mandalay Bay

Most hotels now change their room key look every year to prevent this.
