You should always start by listing which subjects are interesting to you. When you have multiple subjects you might be interested in it makes sense to check for the organization of the study of these subjects (mandatory classes, optional classes, seminars, written or oral examinations, ...) and possible career paths and chances.
You might as well take into consideration if you want to stay in one country or work in multiple countries.

If you are talking about getting started in college, I would suggest beginning with courses that already interest you. Then those courses can lead you down infinite other avenues of interest if you are serious about school. College is like a buffet--& some students are starving, others not even hungry.

most colleges have a test you can take that hellps you realize what your strong points are and what careers you may be interested in...just ask the local college's guidance ccounselor
