Rabbits can be good pets. They are easily litter trained. They like to chew, A LOT, so you need lots of things for them to chew on.

Rabbits do make good house pets if trained from an early age. My friend has one that she got when a baby and litter trained it from the start. It always uses the litter box. Make sure to use one with low sides so the bunny can get in easily. Hers runs around her house with her 2 cats and a big dog. Really. Sounds strange, but is true. Keep the nails trimmed as they can really dig in. Especially with the hind feet. Don't think they would do good around young kids tho. They need to be treated gently. Not tough enough to be tossed around. When litter training and while still young its best to keep the bunny confined to a small area with its food and water. A large box works good. This way it won't want to dirty up its living area and is easier to find the litter box.

I had a rabbit for almost 11 years. She was wonderful. We had a rabbit cage in the house and we kept her in it at night b/c she really loved to chew on things, especially the carpet! The first cage we had did not have the pan that pulled out from under it so we had it on plastic w/ newpaper and kitty litter under it. She would just go back up to it and use the bathroom. Not when she was little, of course, but she learned very quickly. She learned to open that cage so we got one w/ a different latch and it had the litter box that pulled out from under it. We still left the plastic underneath the cage b/c she would still back up to it to use the bathroom. She loved a bath and to be held on her back and sleep. She did shed ALOT. She loved cereal and hated alfalfa. They have their own personality just like a dog but she did bite when she got mad. She would also grunt and run at things she did not like, such as plastic bags. She was a great pet but I recommend you think about your situation and how much attention you could give the bunny b/c they need to be loved and do not like being left alot. Best of Luck w/ your decision.

I had a bunny indoors - a mini Rex - that was easy to litter box train. In hindsight, I would have gotten an enclosed litter box because he had a tendency to kick too hard with those strong back legs and litter would go flying...lol. YES, they love to chew, wires are the biggest danger I found. He would bite people that he didn't like...not ferociously but more onery-like. He would hop up on the bed and bite my ex-husband...smart bunny! He was fun and sooooo soft. Good luck.

Some rabbits make good pets. But check a few places. Some bunnies just arn't meant to be house pets. But I know someone who has a very sweet rabbit.

They are good pets. My favorite thing about them is that at first they dont trust you, But the more you hold and pet it, it learns to trust you. Some are easier to be litter trained than other.

my friend rescued a jack rabit, it was very hard to train, and it was also a little ferocious since it was born in the wild. i guess it depends on the rabbit, don't get a wild animal if u wanna train it.
