Ford Mondeo Water in Driver Side Footwell?

I have 1.8Tdi 1996 and I have ripped all the carpets and underlay out because they where damp and the car stunk. Anyway, I have noticed that water is collecting on the floor on the drivers side near the outer edge of the seat. I put some water down where the pollen filter is and no water came through. Any ideas where this may be coming from? Cheers Lenny

try running a hose over your windscreen for a few minutes then check again.
If not there, turn your heater on and watch under dash for a leak.
