I have seen a mother love his son so much that no girl was able to replace the mother,s love. The boy is curently having problem with ladies because each time he want to settle down he compares his mother,s love and says no lady has given him such love. Should parents love to this extent that make their children forget that reality is not that loving?

Parent's should love their children but they should also push them to be independent and to have their own relationships and their own lives.

A true mother doesn't rely on there child for there emotional well being, and should introduce there child to as many experiences as possible, good and bad, how else will a child become a confident relaxed and independant adult. This relationship is destructive and nobody will ever be able to measure up!

This guy has some problems. If he want a girl to love him like his mother than he must love that girl like his mother loves him.

You don`t know what love is.
The most loving thing a parent can do for a child after the basic care, is to get out of its way.
What you are describing is not love, it is at best a form of attachment.

I see it as two different kinds of love. Your mother's love is one that supports and nurtures you, but your significant other completes you and loves you more intimately of course!

I wouldn't call that love, I'd call it control. And that young man has problems, needs therapy.

a parents job is to prepare a child to live on his own, not coddle him to the point that he cannot survive on his own

this sounds like a genuine person, why question it, in time he will still have love for his mother but share his physical attributes to someone else, he is a man after all. unless.........................................................................................
