Hey, another agreement..........If a ship enters another country's waters illegally, then legally they SHOULD stand trial.

You people just hear what you want to hear. The british army was doing a routine search of a vessel in iraqi waters, the borderline out there in the water is not a straight line and they were ina narrow passage where they could easly have gone over to the iranian side, even though they claim they did not. Either way, they should be returned home so as to show no hostile intent. The different is that if they came to american waters we would know they were here doing bad thigns whereas these men were actively searching an iraqi boat and not just driving around enemy territory.

And just what is the Iranian court going to sentence them to, if they really were in Iranian waters?
Contrast that to our court system.
See the difference?
You make the assumption that a Iranian court will have the same standards of fairness that a US court would. Somehow, I doubt this would hold true.

Bad analogy. What if canadians entered US waters?
Should we put them on trial?
Frankly the British are big about stuff like that. They will work it out. If I were in charge, I'd do it again. This time with enough fire power to take the out from over the horizon.
Those are disputed water ways. Disputed means stuff happens.
It's just another nail in the coffin.

Wake up, man! If you cannot get upset at the notion of an aggressive, totalitarian country capturing an ally’s troops, what does it take? These people would gladly kill you and your entire family if they had the chance. While your children’s blood is still warm and wet, they’d roll out the old prayer mat and thank god for the opportunity to slaughter so many infidels. What the hell does it take to get that idea through to you?
Stop judging their actions by western motivations.

Everyone forgets, Iraq and Iran fought a ten year war, with us supplying Sadaam with Intelligence Weapons and Poison Gas. When the war ended there was no return to the original border, so in many areas the Border on the Map may not be the actual border.

I don't think you look Iranian though sounding like one.
Brit's were in Iraqi waters. Iranians committed an act of war.

How did you come up with the idea that it is fine and dandy?
Do you have proof that they entered Iranian waters illegally ?.. you would rather trust a terrorist nation than your allies?

The british were in a war zone with undefined borders.
It looks like the british were captured, then taken into iranian waters.
