If so, how many should reside? Right now, in my state of North Carolina, 11 people can reside in a 1000 square foot house, should that be changed to 5 or 6? Please share your opinions.

it's not a perfect world, if people are forced into "11 people
in 1000 sq ft" living conditions, before passing a law to throw
them into the street, we should be helping them find more
room or at worse leave them alone to miserable living conditions
where at least they can get in out of the elements.

I don't think there should be any law like that.
If I have twenty people in 'my house' that's my choice.
I wouldn't. Not under normal circumstances. Besides my house is too small for that many people.

I'd like to see the reasons why that has become a law. I can guess a few reasons already.

And what happens to a family that can barely make it on what they earn and they have 5 or 6 kids ? Do we make them farm their kids out?
Opinions are fine but lets not just go and say "There otta be a law........." Life today is rough enough for some people. would hate to throw more blocks in their path.
