Christianity stinks, but they dont resort to the levels of unecessary violence as do Muslims

No doubt is the fast answer.
But it isn't that easy.Islam will never disappear so we'll have to find a way to coexist.We can't root out all Islam,that's not realistic but again the pure and fast answer to your question has to be yes.As much as I regret it and love my Muslim friends,the religion now is more a problem to say it nicely than an asset and without it things would look much better;

Maybe if Islam never existed, but who's to say some other factor wouldn't cause people to destabilize the Middle East. If it just disappeared overnight, it wouldn't take it's history with it, so I say no. Besides, do you really think the religion is the problem? Islam is about peace, it's the people in the religion that confuse it. You see the same thing happen with some Christians, and just because they aren't taking up arms now (the Christians) doesn't mean they haven't in the past.

Sadly no, the people that are causing the unrest are people that are a select group of radicals. Much like a militant group of Evangelical Christians.
Suppose you did somehow manage to wipe out mainstream Islam, the radicals that are committing these horrendous crimes would never convert, and would become even more aggressive. Also it would not be fair to prohibit people from practicing a religion, all religion has extremists.

There would be other divisive things. More stable? Yes. Stable? No. And what would it be replaced with? Christianity? Take a look at the blood-soaked history of that religion for an answer.

I'm not Christian, but I can not accept your characterization of that faith. Islam seems to bring instability wherever the are.
