Jesus preached the Surmon on the Mount and liberals have followed his "love thy neighbor message for 2000 years"
But the Redpublicans have always tried to find a more crafty agenda than the simplicity of truth.

Well of course, you can't get rich on Jesus' principles...and that just won't do w/ most who proclaim his name.
To the answerer below:
Jesus believed in free will, therefore pro-choice
Jesus believed in helping the indingent therefore welfare is applicable
Jesus said "render unto Ceaser what is Ceaser's", meaning money, meaning taxes.
Jesus also said "turn the other cheek"...no war, liberal ideal.
And remember the only time Jesus got angry, was in the Temple...he hates it when religious folk do wrong...think about it people. He didn't yell at the prostitute, the leper, the widows, the poor...the Pharisees and the Saducees got him all aflame. The Reds are the modern day Pharisees.

There is a big difference between "Love thy neighbor" and the Liberal ideals of take money from one person to give to another.
Love thy neighbor means you give willingly to those who are in need according to your means.
Meanwhile Liberals develop overly expensive social programs that siphon most of the funds off to feed the bureaucracy and do little to aid the needy.
"Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime" Which part of this does the Liberal welfare system more closely resemble?
Simplicity of the truth. Do you actually believe yourself?

I'm no expert on Christian Theology, but I somehow doubt if Jesus preached for abortion & gay marriage among other things. BTW, "love thy neighbor" preceedes Jesus by more than a millenium.

-abortion (thou shall not kill)
-high taxes (free people from bondage)
-welfare (earn your living by the sweat of your brow)

Jesus was a social activist that taught peace and love and helping others....and he put his message into works and action.
Republicans have rejected that message of peace.
