umm...I would have to go with Mike Tyson, he bit someones ear off, plus he was a likable figure at one point, everyone wanted to be him. But he blew it all sky high and is a washed up nobody, who still thinks hes good. those are the kind of people I dont like.
Anyway heres the list-
1.Mike Tyson
2.Jose Conseco
3.Bill Lambeer
4.Ron Artest
5.Barry Bonds
6.Charles Smith
thats about it because you cannot dislike Kobe for having personal problems outside the court, its not like he has expressed any dislike toward anyone on or off the court except maybe Shaq except that was just avoidance not dislike.
he even did the my Wish special on sportscenter back in the summer, for that little kid.
This is what I always say:
Hate him as a player not as a person.

None of the above. I'd say Ty Cobb. Take a look at the Ken Burns series "Baseball" and in particular the segment on Ty Cobb. He was a complete BASTARD. He hated EVERYONE, his teammates disliked him. He once charged into the stands to beat up a handicapped guy who he said was heckling him. he charged into second with his spikes high, whether he needed to or not. There were questions surrounding the death of his wife (some believe he killed her). And when he died, only one of his former teammates attended his funeral.
He might have been one of the greatest baseball players ever, but as a person, he sucked.
But if I have to use your list, I'd say Barry Bonds. he's an ******...

I think Jose Canseco...
When I was a little kid--forget what age, but probably like 15 years ago--I sent him a card (with a SASE, even) to get signed. He never sent it back! It was a cool card too--it was black and white, he was shirtless and supposedly his zipper was down (I couldn't really tell, but that was the rumor going around school)...
I think about that every time I hear the name "Jose Canseco."

You forgot OJ Simpson. From your list though I would go with Mike Tyson. He raped a woman, he bit off part of Holyfield's ear during a match...the guy is just not a good person.

You need to go back in history farther. Ty Cobb was the King of Sons of Bitches.
