We no longer grow our own food. We no longer walk to our destinations. Cleaning our houses is less physicalloy demanding. We can ride elevators rather than climb stairs.
Is technology to blame for the poor physical condition of Americans. Who do we place the blame on.. Technology or Humanity..?

since the 40s, americans have been working more hours at work and women have been working as well. thats why we have social security because no one is home to take care of grandma and we have fast food for families who dont have a lot of time to cook meals. the poor condition is to Americans who have no job and are taking these luxuries as commonalites. but technology was made to benefit the hard working, busy American

It's more a problem of urban/suburban planning - the US started as an agricultural country and people are more likely to live outside of the cities, where it is not possible to walk to locations. People in NYC walk an average of 5 miles a day! People in the suburbs do not, because the communities are not planned for local businesses and smaller, local sub-communities.

yes technology does... heck here i am sitting on the computer when i could be playing outside or talking a walk or something....
and the blame rests on Humanity. Humanity makes the choices to create these things... and its Humanity that decides to use it.
