i was throwing a football around with my guy friend.. and he threw it pretty hard and i caught it oddly and jammed my ring finger pretty bad.. it hurt like hell and 24 hours later it still does.. but it didn't start to swell until about 2 hours or so later.. this morning i woke up however, and my whole entire finger is black and blue, huge, and i can barely move it. i've had a whole handful of people look at it, and they all keep saying "it could be broken", at first they were all like " its only jammed the swelling should come down soon " but it hasnt. anyways, my question is.. what should i do? is it broken you think or just jammed? and if i go to the doctors/hospital later tonight (cause i'm working at the moment) is it too late? by the time i get there it will be probably 30 hours after the incident.. will they be able to fix it? please help, thanks in advance =/

it certainly isn't too late. first things you may want to do is elevate the hand, ice (20min/per hour), and immobilize it (with a popsicle stick or an aluminum one from any drug store). then an xray would be a good idea, to rule out any fractures/broken bone. this can be achieved in any ER. if the fracture is non-displaced, meaning the broken fragments haven't moved, it usually can be treated in a cast. however, if the pieces have (which you risk of doing by not immobilizing the finger), then surgery may be necessary.
lastly, these finger "sprains" can become a chronic problem if some of the soft tissue or ligaments around your finger joints are injured and not are diagnosed appropriately at the beginning. an ER doc may not be able to make that call where an orthopod can. things like mallet fingers or boutinere's deformity can be treated fairly easily with a splint initially, however, will become much more problematic say 3 or 4 months later.
good luck

From what I fully grasp, platinum is higher than white gold... (however extra costly!) There are 4 elements to a diamonds exceptional, for that reason rate; reduce, color, readability, carat. I recommend you learn up approximately the ones and base your acquire round the ones 4 elements. You would pass the personalized direction too. That might be extra bang on your dollar then shopping from a store and also you completely specify what requirements in phrases of the "4 C's" you wish on your diamond...and also you without doubt absolutely layout the hoop. Any man who proposes WITH a hoop is so incorrect!!! I consider a lady must ALWAYS decide on her ring! My man proposed with out a ring and it was once a complete shock! We then received the hoop in combination. You would additionally advocate with a dummy ring rather (silver cubic zirconia or sonething) And THEN get the hoop in combination. It is more and more typical for the fellow and woman to buy the hoop in combination and such a lot of them have already had the thought.
