Please don't do that, I have seen so many people do that and when your natural hair color starts coming in, it looks awful. Just get highlights, and low lights, because when your hair color grows in it wont look so noticeable.

If you put enough bleach on it yeah, it will go platinum blonde, but you take the risk of it snapping off and then falling out. I have done the transition, and to be honest, dont recommend it. The damage it does to your hair is irreversable, and more often than not you do not get the result you want. Most people with dark hair end up with that trashy copper blonde colour, dispite how much toner you use, and to avoid looking like a trash bag with dark regrowth having it done every 4 weeks is costly, and the cost will burn a hole in your pocket. Not to mention the cost of products to care for hair like that. So unless you have mega bucks, dont go there.

I believe it's possible. They would bleach until paler and then use...violet? I can't quite remember, but I know you don't bleach it to a white, but rather use another dye on the paler yellow or something like that. Platinum blonde might be a bit different, since this is more for white... Whatev

You can. I was also dark hair and went blonde. An easy way to do it is either a hair studio, or if you want to do it at home DO NOT USE BLEACH ! Go to the local drug store or walmart and buy Loreal Blondisma. Its PERFECT. But when you buy blondisma, you also have to buy hair dye itself, or your hair will be orange. At a hair studio, it will cost more, but you have garunteed results. The at home kit, you might have to dye your hair 5 times before you get your perfect shade.

you have to go thru a process of bleaching out your original color and then having the platnum blonde added in.
it is a long and tedius time

why would you want to. brunette hair is very pretty, if you think it looks a bit mousy then add come highlights or frost the tips.

you have to know your eyebrows will have to be recolored as well.

you will have to touch up your roots anywhere from every 3 weeks to a month depending on how fast your root grow out.

waste of time if you ask me and it can run pretty expensive.

Yes. You have to remove all the color forst with bleach, then dye it the shade of blonde you want. I was a bleach-blonde for about 18 years. This is VERY damaging to your hair, just so you know. That's why I stopped doing it and went back to my natural color.

It could be but it will ruin your hair. Go for some highlights first. Trust me: I bleached mine until it fell out!!! Boy was I sorry! What about some platinum extensions? Godloveya.

yes, it can... however, i would only suggest doing it if you have extremely healthy hair to begin with. The process to go from dark to light hair is much harder on the hair than going from light to dark. They will have to strip the color from your hair using harsh chemicals and then dye it the color you want. Also keep in mind the amount of upkeep it requires... depending on how quickly your hair grows, you may need to dye your hair monthly, and you will still have dark roots in between touch ups...

It can be done. Something that drastic should be left to a stylist they can also point you in the right direction as far as how to maintain and take care of your hair afterwards.

(If you do it on your own it might end up orange. Then you would end up at a salon anyway)

It can be done but it is a very lengthy process and your hair may become severely damaged. I highly recommend that if you are considering this, you go to a professional. Don't try to do it by yourself.
