If you're going w/ the basic concept of "what goes around, comes around," it relates to our society, and our world in one very strong issue: The Environment. We now have a massive collective consensus comming from the scientific communtiy saying that Global Warming is a FACT, not a theory. If we continue to pollute, use fossil fuels & not conserve what we have available & save what precious natural resources & wildlife we still have, the Earth is going to "revolt" in a sense, melting ice-caps, creating unstable weather, more violent storms, etc. etc. Eventually, the Earth will be unfit for life & we'll have no one to blame but ourselves & our arrogance.

karma used in basic english is what people above me have described it as;

karma, however, from the original buddhist belief relates to what you'll become reborn as in the next life, reflecting what you do in this life. Technically karma can't occur to somebody in their present life.

Karma is the universe's way to tell you to be nice. what mostly everyone else is saying, i wanna piggy back that. what comes around goes around...i also believe in the rule of 3. What you do, can and will come back to you three-fold....so be nice, then everyone will be three times nicer to you. :-)
