Im doing a persuasive paper on disagreeing with abotion and i need 3 reasons just to start me off... I feel strongly about this topic but i need help.. please!

I'm actually pro-choice but...
Reasons to disagree with abortion:
1. The baby may have a soul (s/he will grow up someday and become a thinking intelligent being), we don't know when they really start to 'know' things and 'feel' things and have a soul.
2. Gender selection. If you can't choose your babies gender, you can keep having abortions until your ultrasound shows you have a boy coming.
2. Abortion abuse. If women can have easily accessible abortions whenever they want, there may be less concern for sexual consequences. When women start thinking 'Oh I might get pregnant,' then 'it's cool, I'll just get an abortion' that may change women's behavior.

It causes scar tissue in the mother especially if done numerous times it has been proven to cause infertility especially in women that have done it more than 5 times
It hurts the baby
Religous wise it is a sin (murder)
Can cause emotional damage to the mother that goes through with it.
Depends on who you are, there are some people that say that it is ok within the first 18 days as the embryo has not yet got blood, ie it is not yet a person.
Apart from abortion up until the first 5 weeks there is an injection the mother can get which has a 90percent success rate in loosing the child, kind of like the morning after pill but stronger, only the doctor can prescribe this and it depends on the hormonal levels on the HCG blood test, if the levels are too high the injection wont work and the woman only has abortion to turn to if she chooses not to keep the baby
Im both ways, personally I couldnt get an abortion, but I understand women who choose to have one, although I think it is very bad for women to use it as a form of contraception

1.) After 6 weeks gestation, an embryo starts having a heartbeat, so it should be considered murder.
2.) Abortions damage a woman's uterus by scraping the embryo away from the uterin wall, so it may be more difficult to conceive later on when a pregnancy is wanted.
3.) There are many people who want to be parents, but cannot. Unwanted pregnancies could give these people the oppotunity to be parents (which also gives the biological mom an escape, which is what abortion is for anyway)
Hope that helps. Don't forget to read some material about the pro-choice movement as well so you can argue against their specific reasons for wanting to keep abortion legal.

1. The baby lives from time of conception some people like to think other wise because it makes it easier to get ried of.
2.It is murder you let someone kill a pregnant women or someone kills a unborn baby inside of its mothers womb and they will get life in prison so what is the diffrence?
3.A lot of people use abortion as birth control or a fast way to get out of a situation that they helped themself into and the baby has no control of the matter.

The main reason is that a baby is a baby is a baby. The idea that a baby is not a baby just because the umbilical cord is still attached is ludicrous.
Other arguments include the incidence of post-abortion syndrome (it is a traumatic thing for a woman to go through)
Or the age at which a baby develops a nervous system (it makes me sick to think about this).
Or how babies can survive outside of the womb at around 20 weeks.

1. There is proof that babies can survive during the time that its still legal to abort. For example the baby that was born and survived when it was born 24 weeks early.
2. Its playing God. Your not God, so stop trying to play him.
3. Some people use it as a form of birth control. That's just bad for your body and inhumane.

1 The fetus is a baby...look at pictures of a fetus early on (6 weeks +) they are babies not doubt!
2. There are many other options out then Like adoption if you don't want a baby killing is not a good one!
3. The fetus does feel very early on, when a fetus dies of natural cause the mother almost always remembers the fetus spasing at the probable moment of death. Why would we want to cause pain to a baby. If you can add pictures to your paper it is always helpful for people to acutally see what a fetus looks like.

I don't know about 3 reasons, but for me a big reason not to get an abortion is the baby already has a heartbeat when it is only maybe 6 weeks old.

1- life begins at conception- this is a known scientific fact- the baby's heart is beating at 3 weeks after conception.
2- many physical and emotional risks to the woman
3- it takes the life of a CHILD- not a cell.

1 the emotional distress which are prevalient after the abortion is enormous
2 Do people follow their distinct belief when electing to proceed with abortion or do they selfishly think of it as a self remedy to a current issue
3 In hearing a heart beat one minute then nothing in 15 circumstantial time frame of an abortion would that be consider or should it be considered a formation of murder with assistance?
