First of all this is not a NORMAL person that beats
his wife for what ever reasons. Plain and simple
call the authorities, get him arrested, get him pro-
fessional help and if all fails get him a DIVORCE.

Even when I was a drunkard and at my worst I never laid a finger on my stbxw. Hitting your SO is not right. This would not fall under normal.
Back in the day you were actually allowed to beat your wife with an implament that was no thicker then the mans thumb hence "Rule of Thumb". But that wil like a century ago. All is equell.

justifying a mans bad actions such as beating means hes also mentally abusing you. physicall and metal beatings can scar a person for life it changes who you are. i think he is not a man to put a hand on someone who has no chance on winning the fight that does not make him a man hes more of a coward. but youll be surprised by how many women take this type of abuse some live and move on others stay and others are no longer with us. if he does it once hell do it again leave and dont look back for sure there will be someone out there who will love you and respect you and treat you like a queen

There is no such thing as a "normal" person who beats their wife.

Sure, alcohol makes people do stupid and hurtful things, but being drunk isn't an excuse for beating a woman.

It takes "two to tango"....If a woman gets beaten once, she should pack her things and leave- immediately!
Once is one time too many....And if she thinks he will change or stop doing it, she is in for A LOT of pain and heartache.

People get hooked on unhealthy relationships because we all have hurts and traumas. But physical violence is a definite NO-NO.

Well first I would tell him to be man enough and beat me, but I doubt he could because I would get him the beating that he deserves. ANd then after that I would make sure that he would always remember that day because I would break one of his legs and when he would hurt and limp he would remember. ANd that's what I would do also after I beat him up I would hold him and let his wife beat him up too.

I'm not sure what I would do, but I would do something. Talk to him...tip the police...something. Kicking is a** would be my first thought, but that would only solved the problem for the moment. Getting the law involved, I think is a better way of stopping him for good. Now if it's a family member or friend that is being abused, I'll call the cops right before I kick his a**, that way they can stop me from killing him.

I have had that problem with my sisters husband and my adopted daughters husband. My sisters husband I called my 6 very large very angry Sicilian brothers in to kick the crap out of him.My daughters husband I simply put my arm around him.Asked him if he would take a walk with me so we could try to sort through things.Basically I pretended to be his friend.Once out of sight of witnesses.I pull out my 9mm and put it to his head. And gave him a choice.Either learn to control himself and keep his hand off of my daughter and grandchildren.Walk away from the marriage and stay away from my family. But never raise his hands to my girls in anger again or the last thing his will see is the barrel of this gun pointed at his head. And he knows I don't play I had already knocked his butt out several months earlier for threatening to slap my granddaughter in the face. For not getting her homework done fast enough for him.Needless to say the a**hole ran.We haven't seen him in over two years. And I don't think we will has long has I am alive.

First off...NO ONE deserves to be beaten...EVER!!! I don't care weather he is drunk on drugs or completely sober...it never warrants abuse!!! If he does it once, he will do it again!
LEAVE NOW...don't wait another second. Please don't ever try and justify his actions, because then it's making it OK for him to do that to you. There are places to go for assistance (you can find it in the phone book). He needs to get help for his anger problems & what drives him to react this way. You need support for the trauma (physical & emotional) you have gone through.

I am assuming this was a question about either you or someone you know?! I am just concerned by this question.

Next time it happens, call the police and press charges. One thing about beatings, they always seem to get worse as time goes on. Maybe it's because the beater loses some fear of repercusions because nothing is done about it. NO ONE deserves to be slapped around, abused in any way! Have him arrested and get him out of your life!

I'd superglue his penis to his leg while he's asleep, with a big drop in the tip for good measure. Then I'd divorce him. A "normal" person does not beat his wife.
