If you're worried about the impact that the F will have in your GPA talk to the Prof or teacher and explain the situation. talk to the department head or the dean/principal or whomever will listen. Exceptions to the rules can be made for someone with a 96% GPA. You can probably redo whatever you failed. Good Luck! Don't panic. If all else fails (sorry bad pun)Just retake the course with a DIFFERENT TEACHER and think of the course you failed as a preliminary exercise. When you retake it the course it will seem alot easier because you'll already be familiar with the material.

Why did you get the F? Is there something you don't understand? Is there anyone who can explain it to you so you can learn the material?
