I have a computer that needs to run 24/7 in an area where there are power outages.... a lot. How do I make it so that the computer will come back on when the power goes out without using the front on/off button?

Hi. In the "Power management" section.

Edit: I looked for the "Restart computer after power interruption" but have not found it yet. Sorry.

Edit: Both Vincent and Mudsud are correct. You need a UPS to control the shutdown (mine gives me 8 minutes and will shut down in a controlled manner) and the option I couldn't find is in BIOS.

You can buy an uninterruptable power supply, its a battery as large as an average computer. It plugs into the wall and the computer plugs into it. When the power goes out automatically switches to battery power to keep the computer going, and when the power is on it keeps itself charged. I dont know how long it can keep the computer working with the power out, but I would think that different models store different amounts of power.
I've never bought one but I've seen them in stores, usually in the $100 - $200 range.

Enter the Bios using the ESC or Delete key while booting

Find the power options and set the computer to turn on after a power outage, F10 to save changes and reboot....

If the power goes out and the computer doesn't run off battery power, it's going to go out, unless you have it hooked up to some generator.

get an UPS (uninterruptebal power supply) and plug it into that. Then it won't go off even if there is a short (90 mins.) power outage.

If you use battery backup hardware you won't have to worry about it. Besides it not good for a computer to be shut down like that, especially often.
