Strict about what??? Germany has very liberal laws, but our gun laws are very restrictive...
So, if you try to enter Germany with a gun, you surely might get lots of troubles at the airport! ;-))

If you want to drink alcohol or buy tobaccos, so you can do it at age 16 over here. But, you can drive a car when you're at least 18 years old. The legal age is 18 in Germany.

Unfortunately, you haven't written any details and I really don't know what you really mean with "strict".

For me as a woman from Berlin the laws don't seem to be strict.

You can drink alcohol in public (beer and wine from the age of 16; stronger stuff from the age of 18).
Smoking is allowed (from the age of 16) in a lot of public places like restaurants, pubs and discos. Most of the train stations are non-smoking areas. The smoking laws will be changed probably next year. Then it will be stricter (esp. for restaurants and pubs). But today you can look out for the non-smoking signs quite easily.
Drugs of any kind are forbidden, for sure.

Furthermore there's no point you should really pay attention. Generally Germany is a very liberal state with a lot of freedom. and if there are any problems, just ask for help.

In some parts of Berlin you should pay attention on criminalism. It's not very dangerous, but happens.

So have a great time in Berlin!

How do you mean exactly?
German law is not too dissimilar to English law. Naturally, there are certain areas in which German law is tougher than English law; in other areas English law is tougher than German law.
Germany is a liberal country with freedom of speech and freedom of movement. Germany is also a full (and founding) member of the European Union. Federal law in Germany prohibits the death penalty.
Note that German law takes a hard line against controlled drugs. Even possession of cannabis can result in a heavy fine or imprisonment.

You phrased this question really funny, what laws are you talking about?

Prostitution is legal, you can get registered for this job, you'll pay taxes.
You can drink until you drop if you are 18 years old.
In most cities they don't care if you take your top off in a public park.
You can not wash your car at the curb side.
You can not put your trash out as you like it.
You can not have a gun.
Your not allowed to kill, steal, mob, rape, kidnap.

There is not death penalty.

So, what kind of laws are you talking about????????????

comparing the socil popularity of smoking international huge, Germany is contained in the direction of the extremes. contained in the U. S., a smoker constantly asks "Do you innovations if I smoke?" and could refrain from doing it in case you answer "confident". In Germany, a smoker won't ask. yet once you assert something he will the two apologise and placed his cigarette out or smoke out of a window to minimise your exposure. contained in the midsection East, you would be provided a cigarette as a demonstration of politeness. "No thank you, i do no longer smoke" won't count selection, you need to take it besides and get the smoke blown into your face on suited of it. bypass determine. to respond to your question greater quickly: i'm German and that i've got have been given allergies. oftentimes that's extremely basic for me to stay away from smoky environments, as multiple locations are non-smoking besides. that's trouble-free (or a minimum of became before the smoking ban) to be sure ashtrays in front of place of work homes, so as that people who smoke ought to smoke outdoors. comparable for golf equipment and different public homes. the only complicated locations have been bars and pubs or theatre lobbies or comparable. i think of the smoking ban took care of that, have not had the possibility to envision yet. (the only component I reported is that place of work workers are actually smoking interior, by way of fact smoking in public in front of the door is now prohibited. ARRRGH!) So usual your heart issues shoudn't stay away from you from taking section in a visit to Germany. have exciting!
