Well, considering that lighter women dominate the media as "beautiful", I suppose that could answer your question.

I'm not very light-complected myself, so I know where you're coming from. I quite enjoy my complexion, as it's a part of who I am. And I think I'm gorgeous, so does my boyfriend. That's all that matters.

Don't waste your time on people who can't look past the color of your skin (or find it beautiful).

It all depends on association with status.

Statistically, people with more money in society tend to have lighter skin. It doesn't matter if it is logical or not, people subconsciously notice these patterns and will find lighter skin attractive for this reason. Actually, up until the early 20th century whites found super pale skin to be the most attractive because the the poor labored in the sun and the rich stayed indoors more. But since the industrial revolution, the poor have worked indoors in factories and the like while the rich could vacation (with greater travel ability due to technology) to warm areas and get tans. So now most white people think having a tan is more attractive. However, white people are still more powerful in society and so *relatively* light skin is what is perceived as attractive.

Personally, I am a white female and find all skin colors attractive, as long as the skin is healthy and smooth. I even think pale skin is attractive on some people. I like dark skin because it has a rich, warm quality to it and I like the way light shines on it. I like light skin on people with dark hair because I enjoy the contrast. I like lightish-medium skin because of the gorgeous bronze quality. Also, dark skin ages relatively well.

We, as modern people come all from an area of the west coast of Africa. Through eviromental influences over 50,000 years, some people have more or less dark pigments in their skin. We can copulate and breed with each other, that's how close we are genetically. I don't see color, I only see stupidity and ingnorance rampant, more so in the US, then in any other nation. Black people don't help, being often more racist to their darker skin cousins, then caucasians. By the way, I am northern european and my wife is black as the night, my kids are mixed and I am proud of all of them. Get into the 21 century. And another thing, black women are the most beautiful on earth.

I don't see anything wrong with dark complected people. In fact I would much rather date a female of very dark complexion than anything else. I especially find very dark women with big butts and breasts very exciting!

There is nothing wrong with being dark, just like there is nothing wrong with being pale, beige, olive, brown, ruddy or yellow. Beautiful women come in all colors, from snow white to ebony.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder… the shade of once skin does not make one more or less beautiful… beauty is only partly based physical attributes… how you project yourself… your expression, a smile or a sulk will make a huge difference in you appearance to others… you have to learn to be comfortable and happy white who you are because that you can not change…
