Bast is my personal favorite. She was a woman with the head of a cat. She was the goddess of sex and marijuana, among other things. That's why cats were sacred in ancient Egypt -- many owners built elaborate mausoleums for their cats when they died, and owners shaved off their eyebrows in mourning.

Sorry, just rambling... but it is a paragraph on Gods and ancient Egypt.
