Excellently stated, you are 100% correct, I think people are so wrapped in the publicity of him, but they don't actually read about him, does that make sense? Do people really want him to attempt to play injured to that possibly he could injure himself to where it would end his career? I certainly hope they would have more compassion than that. Makes you wonder about some people sometimes

He shouldn't come. He's should just go to Manchester United. I mean Americans are so ignorant to the most famous sport in the world that they don't even know who Beckham is. Pathetic really. There is no way that Beckham alone can arouse interest for soccer from Americans who only like football and baseball and basketball.

As a female that had to endure football watched alot dont know alot and ready for all those thumbs down .... I really cant believe the anti Beckham brigade I have watched games when he has run his legs off on his own with a pile of other crap players and got the blame for England losing ? Have also seen in for Man Utd ? Why do the Brits do it , yes perhaps he has not got the natural talent of Pele/ Georgie Best but his commitment has made him a brilliant player . He Loved Utd He Loved England and all of them have crapped on him from a great height cos of their jealousy why shouldnt he take pepsi , nike for a couple million if they want to pay it would you refuse ???? Go on Becks tell em to sod off !!!!

Despite being injured I think he is a prolific player as he's proved that to Madrid after he was dropped for publishing he was going to Galaxy and also let's not forget he left the national team as a captain.

There is no team out there that appoints the captain without being a good player.

Thanx!

If you were a left back who would you rather have playing against you?

a) a slow has been who will never run at you or

b) a young, quick as lightning player who turns defenders inside out and is playing regular football by getting regular assists for his Premiership club.

Hmn, Beckham or Lennon. Tough one that.

quite true. But the truth is no one in the english squad can defeat Beckham's crossing. And of course, he will turn rusty and Gerrard and lennon will take over the king of crossing in ENGLAND

The MLS is not that poor. It's still a football league, if he can get back to his best, why drop him?

He was never a great footballer but his set pieces are wonderful.

I will call D.Beckham back into the squad once he recovered from his injuries , yes he cannot perform like he used to, but he should be in the team as the team backbone, he can no longer play for the full time, but he certainly okay if he play for 60 minute, and no new player that replace him can deliver as good as he did, at the sametime, the new player can also learn from his vast experience on the field.

Arsene Wenger, Martin O' neil and Big Sam definitely agree with me...

We should look forward, and dont be jealouse with other people achivement, as long as it for the country. do it!!! and stand firmly together!!!

comrade youve hit the nail on the head with that one!!!! its so easy to blame someone like beckham!!! but just rember you lot who got us to the world cup in the first place!!!! with that injury time goal against greece!!!!! rember we didnt dropp beckham because he was playing bad! or have you forgot that?? we dropped him the same as campbell and james so we could bring in a new generation!!!!!!! i say bring him back at least he can find a striker with his crosses!!! and thats what we need!!! so our strikers can start scoring again!!!! and for the issue about him playing in america once learn to cross a ball like he can you never lose that!!!! so playing in america is not a issue!!!!!

Plus we carried him for two years - has everyone forgotten that ? England needs Beckham like a fish needs Guiness. Beckham needs England more like - to boost Brand Beckham.

Over-rated, puffed-up, only runs in straight lines my Spanish buddy (and Real season ticket holder) says they call him Forrest Gump, can't get a regular game for Madrid, and willing to play third rate football 'but not for the money' - right.

'Better than any other player is the position' - do you watch football ?
