I always figured I'd be married at nineteen like all the other women in my family, and I'd raise loads of kids on a farm and you know... devote my life to my family. But now I'm eighteen and engaged, and suddenly I want to go travelling and get tattoos and be a rebel for once. (I won't of course... but it's nice to dream)

i think you should go travelling if you want to. take your fiance and go check some places out. wouldn't you rather do it now and realise it's not for you than never do it and wonder what if? and what's the worst that can happen if you go away? you can just get a ticket home if you want to, no harm done.
better you do it now while you're young and responsibility free. when you have kids you belong to them. and won't you have so many more interesting stories to entertain and inspire them with if you actually get out there and see the world?

Time will come and at the mo just enjoy yourself i'm about same age and have got a kid, partner and house i could not be happier but what you don't have you wont miss and i always wanted the farm and cottage but think about how boring it would be. Nice thought tow

nope i thought at 24 i`d be the confident out going person i want to be,have a career and be happily married or close to it anyway,instead i`m a single mum,shy and so not confident,with an ex who i was with for 6 years who i still love deep down as he was my 1st love.

OMG, please do yourself a favour and get travelling and if you really want tattoos then get them done in a place that only you know about!
Girlfriend, get a life before producing a life....... I mean what would you beable to tell your kids what you've done in life if you've never done anything!
Make sure you live out your dreams lov, lifes too short!
