Well guess in some cases when you talk to people you don't know then they might ask you to meet, then God knows what might happen!

I've heard many storys of children these days getting in trouble and not to mention kidnapped b/c of myspace™. I mean, what's so good about it? If you're a real loner, then there's no hope for you in life...lol just kidding. But seriously, it's EXTREMELY dangerous, it's not like the world's gonna explode b/c it's gone!

Myspace is good. But there are some dumb people in the world who should never go on there. That's the only reason myspace isn't safe. Because all the stupid people in the world decide to go meet some random person they met online. That could happen anywhere. Like here. Someone could answer your question and decide to message you then you start talking and then...yeah. So if people would just not talk to people they don't know all would be ok.So it's not myspace's fault! It's the users fault!

I think it depends on the user. I recently wrote about the cons of myspace for my journalism class in school. Yes, it does have some bad points like I found at least two users that had been murdered by people that they met at the site. Their profiles are memorials now. There have been cases of rape, stalking and bullying, yes. But, myspace DOES tell users to be careful about what and how much info that they put out because it could backfire. Of course, I have a myspace and I love it. I have reconnected with friends that I have not seen in at least 5 years. I've made my profile like a colorful clown central and have even found a singer I've been searching for for at least a year now. Also, it is a great way to get business connections for your company or gigs for your band or awarness for things like AIDS or HPV. Myspace is really the lesson of how humans can corrupt something that is originally good. Just be careful when visiting, that's all.

I completely agree with you!

A few years ago when I was in high school a grade 9 girl lied about her age, skipped school to meet some guy and she got raped and really beaten up. It all came back on the school and stuff...It was a really big mess....

I think myspace is kinda safe if you don't give out personal info, keep your profile private and don't trust anyone!

I have a myspace. I'm 20 so not an idiot, only have close friends on there and hardly ever use it. It's just much easier to talk to my little sis over comments than msn since we're both very busy!

i do not think that myspace is dangerous at all. you can make your profile private and you don't have to accept people as your friends. you can also block people. people are stupid. thats why they get kidnapped. anyone who is willing to go meet someone they don't know off the computer is just plain dumb. and children that just give out their phone numbers and address's are stupid. it has nothing to do with the website because kids were being kidnapped and things before because of chat rooms or instant messanger. i would never give out my personal information to a stranger even if they seem nice and my age. i am smarter than that. the majority of people use myspace to communicate with friends that have left for college or live in other states. if people were smarter they wouldn't go meet people and put themselves in horrible siuations. it's funny that parents will blame a website, they refuse to believe it's their childs fault. maybe if they would have been paying more attention to what their child was doing or tell them what not to their wouldnt be as big of a problem.

I've never been there so don't know how it's run, but I think that any where on the web you need to remember not to give out to much personal info, which might even include real name and never agree to meet someone in person. People can hide behind a facade online and be just evil in person.

Personally, I have a biz that I advertise on there, it works well for that. I am not using it to meet my "soul mate"...or anything like that. Quite a few of my friends and I keep touch on there too.

myspace is a kiddie porn site that child abusers, rapists and murderers prey on. NOBODY knows who anyone is on the computer; and young, vulnerable open themselves up to middle-aged CHILD OFFENDERS!!
