I'm sorry, but have a heart some of you......at least she is showing some responsibility and sense, and not just jumping into something without a care in the world!!!!

If you are in UK, you can go to the Brook advisory clinic, for under 25's. They have specially trained people there who would be more than happy to ensure you have the correct advice before making such a serious step.

You could also try your family planning clinic, similar set up, but ensures that families only arrive when they are planned so again they offer you fantastic advice.

Please make sure you talk to someone thoroughly about going on the pill, there are lots of other options nowadays that may be easier for you and your situation.

You can't. It's a prescribed medication, and because (as with all medications) there can be some side effects and complications for certain people, it's important that you are seen by a doctor who can assess what pill is best and discuss the possible side effects with you.

If you are concerned about your doctor telling someone about you asking about the pill because you are underage, or for any other reason - don't be. Your doctor is duty-bound to maintain your confidentiality and can't discuss it with anyone (not even your parents).

If you are worried about being seen at a surgery, try looking in the phone book or yellow pages for your nearest family planning centre - you may prefer to go there.

If you are underage, having sex may not be the best idea - but it is not for me (or anyone else on here) to judge you on the choices you make. Taking precautions like going on the pill is always a good thing if you are having sex, but please remember to use a condom as well - the pill does not protect you from sexually transmitted diseases.

Stay safe.

The pill is a prescription medication, therefore, you need to see a doctor. Even if you could gain access to someone else's meds, or illegally-obtained birth control pills, it would be extraordinarily dangerous to take pills from any source other than your doctor. That having been said, depending on where you live, you might be able to get birth control from Planned Parenthood or one of the other free clinics in your area. They may not need to contact your parents, again, depending on where you live.

You most certainly shouldn't be able to. They are prescription only! There are many excellent reasons for this, and not every woman is suitable for the pill at all. You need an examination, BP check, smear depending on your age and a check up every now and then when you are on it.

Every year a tiny number of women will have serious and even fatal problems with the pill. Don't increase your odds of being one of them!

You can only get it from your GP or your local Family Planning/Sexual Health clinic. Don't worry though, it is completely confidential. But you must seek the help of a medical professional, so that they can provide you with the right type of pill - there are various different versions.

Go to a Family Planning Clinic.

There are organisations that you can go to that will give you a prescription for the pill without adding it to your medical notes or notifiying your family doctor - so it is completely confidential. If you're in the UK go to Brook. http://www.brook.org.uk/content/M2_1_Contraception.asp

You can't. Well you have to see a health care provider as the pill is a prescription drug only. You can go to your local health dept. or health clinic if you can't afford to see an OBGYN.

you can't. to get a prescription you have to go to the doctor and get a pap smear/gynecological exam. look up the nearest planned parenthood or free clinic in your area...most doctors can't divulge anything to do with your sexual conduct/exams with parents unless the law says otherwise in your state.
