I found out about Opeth yesterday, heard some of their songs, and want an album. What would be the best one to get?

Definetly get "blackwater park" because if you cant decide whether you like the heavy opeth or the melodic opeth this album is for you! songs like harvest you can just chill too or get absolutly rotten drunk listening to blackwater park(in my opinion that song should have been called the get pissed with your mates song. enjoy man.

Naw, dude, dont listen to him.
Get Blackwater Park first, its (arguably) their best. Then get Damnation. Yes, it is soft, but its one hell of an album, my second-fav. from them, and its got some great singing in there, as well as everything else. Then get Still Life
