I am trying to name a little girl due in May...so good luck! But what I wanted to say is DONT name the child June...My name is April and for my entire life people say the most stupid stuff like...."hi april, where are may and june." or "your name can't be april...april is over it's may." I mean nothing hurtful but it has always just been irritating...People act like they are so funny when they aren't funny in the least when I have been hearing the same stuff for my entire life. So, that is my bit of advice on that! Good luck with the naming game!

I think a surname (last name) from someone in the family makes a nice, original, strong first name for a boy or girl. For instance, a grandmother or aunt's last name. It's then original but still classy and will work for her as an adult and will also have family meaning.
I have a friend with a unique name, it's pretty, but she always tells people her mom just found the name in a book and thought is was pretty... she thinks it's just a little too random.
Congratulations!

Junie or Juniper. Also maybe something florwery - like Flora, Daisy, Iris, Magnolia,
Rose (you never hear Rose much as a first name anymore, but thing it would be great!)
Calla - as in calla lilly which blooms in June, could call her Cally
Or blossom.

how about going back to the past, and giving her an old name, June--not "original" but also not something common nowadays, and not a "horrible" name either....
