* Plan your strategy for the game, days before the game, if not weeks. (e.g. a birdie for every hole - strategy)
* remember tunnel vision for your focus; go into focus just before you play, i.e. when you are hitting the ball nothing else maters, just you hitting the ball to your chosen destination, once done relax your focus.
* to help you go into the focus mode; say quietly in your mind what your are going to do, over and over again about 4 or 5 times to convince your subconscious mind so that your subconscious and conscious minds are both in sync.
* Most of all be confident and have belief in yourself, you can do it, go ahead and win it

He is absolutely right on. They have been doing this with athletes in the Olympics for several years now. It works!

Some large (and not so large) businesses use this method with their sales teams, office workers, secretaries to get full productivity from them.

He is giving you very good life skills with that method.

All of that is very good advise. I would add one more...

Picture your shot in your mind. In other words, watch a "movie" in your mind of the club striking the ball, the flight of the ball to its landing place, and the continuation of the ball to your ultimate target. Do this several times prior to your final address position and your brain will have a tendency to "tell" your muscles how to achieve it.

Yes, they are all good tips,. but I'm not saying that he is right,. so I should take that yes back,. one has to remember that the person doing this athletic event has to like, or enjoy the athletic event he or she is doing,. the main thing is that you,. or whoever is in the sport has to have fun doing it,. that is also a part of sports psychology,. they the people involved in the act of the sport,. has to like it,. without that it will all be difficult,.
