Guerilla warfare. 300years ago people wondered how ragtag colonists could beat the mighty British Empire.

Think about they blend in with the local population, know the region and people. They just have to pick the time to employ their cowardly attacks.

However I think you are giving them too much credit. Things are never as bad as the news makes them sound. I have friends in Iraq, and I will more than likely be deployed there soon, who say its not that bad and the vast majority of Iraqis want us there. Its the jihadists from neighboring country's who attack us the most.

If you had any experience with the military you'd know. It's easy to kill our troops when you hide bombs on the road they often travel. Why do you think they are murdering so many Innocent Iraqis? Because those Iraqis are traveling over the road where the American troops travel. The insurgents are cowards and nothing more just like you.

The insurgents are more lethal than rag tag. Many got military training from Saddam, others signed up for the Iraq police or army, took training from the US troops, and now use their skills to kill Americans. Others learned on the job as members of militias and death squads.

I suppose it could be compared to why the virus hurts so many people. Your statement that these insurgents PREVAIL day after day is a damned lie.

If we would stop having, so many convoys and use air lift more, and take away the Iraqis cars, they wouldn't. IEDs would not be a big problem and car bombings would not be a big problem. Also, if we would start useing the north as an example of how good things could be it might help. And, I would not say they are prevailing.

The insurgents are smart enough to hide, and work in the shadows, just like the Vietnamese did.

How many should they be able to hurt in your opinion?

Also how are you defining "prevail"? Does "little rag tag" tell you they are winning? Is the U.S. being "most powerful" losing?

Our military is good at fighting wars, not "insurgencies".

There is no "field of battle"; that is why this cannot be won via conventional military tactics.

I wouldn't say the prevail day after day. You only hear about the few americans who get killed every week. You don't hear about the thousands of dogs who have been killed and now must lie in death like the pigs they are.

They are fighting for a cause, and we are fighting because. When a group feel as strongly about their circumstance as they are, they will never be defeated as long as there are Arabs they will feel strongly that we are invaders.
