Sometimes they are. It depends on the printer & the quality of the print you are doing. Check your printer preferences & there may be something that gives you the option to print using the black cartridge only.

It really depends on your printer, but in general, no. What does happen however with a lot of printers is that when the black ink is too low to print a document it will then mix the colours to achieve a black colour until the black is replaced.

What Dal stated is actual. With colour, you won't be able to print black. The darkest blue you'll come across is a thanks to go... From Adobe could be difficult, any way you may reserve it as a on a daily basis record and regulate the hues? If that would not artwork, you may attempt the painfully sluggish approach the position you employ the print reveal screen command (it takes a photo of the computing gadget's reveal screen) and paste it into be conscious or a paint software.

Hi. They can be depending on the printer. My Lexmark Z11 only holds one cartridge at a time, so if the color one is installed you still get a black printout. Justs costs a lot more than black ink!

When you use your printer for black text the printer is not in search for the colorink, I'll recommand a laser printer much cheaper when you use black prints
