I'm 29 weeks today the docter told me i am going to start coming in every 2 weeks now! whitch is fine but i just want to know what will happen every 2 weeks when i go, will they have to check me ''down there'' or what? when do they start doing that?? or if anyone has a website they know please let me know that could help me

The visits are pretty much all the same until about 35 weeks-- then you'll probably get a test with a swab for a bacteria that is very common. After that it depends on the doctor-- they may continue doing vaginal checks at that point to check for dilation or they may not (some doctors dont like to do that as it may risk infection and it not alwys a reliable indicator.)

Every Dr is different, but at you 29 week appt usually if you are Rh - then you will get a repeat antibody screen for it. If you have not been tested for Gest. Diabetes then this test will be done also (hopefully this test was already done). Good luck with your pregnancy and delivery!

Right now they are just going to continue to do the same things they always have(unless of course a problem arises). When you are 36 weeks is when they will start the internal exams to see if you are dialating.

They baiscally do the same thing. I don't think they start checking you "down there" just yet. You do usually get tested for std's though if they haven't done that yet so the baby doesn't get it if you have one.
