1972 - Jean Beliveau
1972 - Gordie Howe
1979 - Bobby Orr
1997 - Mario Lemieux
1999 - Wayne Gretzky

Wayne Gretzky also had the 3 year waiting period waived, getting into the Hall in November of 1999 after retiring 7 months earlier, at the end of April 1999.

I didn't realize that they waived it for him... and yea, they have done so a good few times before. The last one, and the last one they will do, was the great one. Gretzky. They have sworn never to do it again.
