I like Cora as the actual name, and not the nickname. Cordelia and Violet don't flow well either...

Well, my mom was a florist for 27 years, so I grew up around flowers...
So, right when I saw it, I thought of a flower. Don't get me wrong, I love flower names for girls, but Cordelia is pushing it a tad.
If you do use Cordelia, call her Cori. I have never met a nice Cora....Now Cori's on the other hand...sweetest people! You can change the spelling of Cori if you like it!

I love that name combination!!! Really pretty!
Please don't use Cora as the nickname though. You could do Cori or Delia or Lia. I'm not a big fan of the name Cora. I have a miserable old bag of a relative with this name. Nasty woman. Don't do that to a baby!

I'm not crazy about Cordelia but i love the name Violet!
How about Corrine Violet? or Corina Violet?
Caryn Violet?
You can play around with the spelling...

Violet is so-so, but Cordelia is pretty old-fashioned; a little too old-fashioned for me.
Go with your heart, though. You probably don't know anyone on this site that answered your question, so it doesn't really matter if they don't like the name, does it?
Good luck!

It sounds old fashioned, but I always like it due to association with King Lear.
Cory or Cora are cute Nicknames too

It's a lovely name. However, I don't think that Cordelia and Violet "mesh" too well.
But, then again, it's your choice...and I'm partial to the name...
Good luck!

I think it's pretty but I would definitely have her go by Cora or Corey. The middle name is very pretty.
