My mom says that in 1890, a single share of Standard Oil cost $890,000. I keep telling her this can't be true. Does anyone know?

Hey MFB,

If you had that 1890 share today, it would probably be worth what your mom is saying. I looked but cannot find the value. Perhaps you should try the Finance Category of Y!A, those guys live and breath stock market prices.
