E= mc^2 with

m in kg
c in m/s

so 1g is 0.001kg

so

E = 0.001kg * (300 000 000m/s)^2
E = 9 x 10^13 J = 9x10^7 MJ

1 gram is 9 x 10^7 Megajoules
or 90 000 000 Megajoules
