They are the ONLY people I hear EVER invoking her as a political expert, for ANY reason. I'm a liberal, and I don't even know (or CARE) where she stands on any issue. Nor does any liberal I've ever met. So why do neocons seem so impressed with her?

To all neocons: I don't "crusade against" your political talking heads, but to be fair - Coulter, Hannity and Limbaugh all claim they're political experts. Rosie O'Donnell is a COMEDIAN. There is a rather large difference between the two. You just refuse to see it. That's why you're handing her all this influence without question. If you simply said, as I do, "She's a comedian, what does she know?" then there would be no problem. As it stands, you're giving her a lot of attention, which fuels everything she says. You're enabling the behavior you claim to hate.

Because Rosie, and other celebs like Babs, Spicoli, etc. get air time and press coverage. That's why the conservatives feel the need to respond.
It's no different then if a conservative celebrity got a lot of air time and press coverage. The liberals would be out crusading against that person.

I think what us Conservative traditionalist can't stand about her is her obvious hate for America and her Terrorist Sympathizing.
She is an "entertainer", but the main stream media puts her fat mug on legitimate news clips spewing her hate. It just disgusts us. That's the point.
