I've recently noticed that a lot of girls in my school have taken an interest in teasing me, particularly the popular ones. I've counted and about 15 girls have teased me so far. Usually they'll just talk really loudly about me, one even said I was ugly, which I'm sure as hell not. I was walking down the hall with my friend at lunchtime today and a whole group of them followed me to laugh at me....loudly! I don't know what the problem is, I dress normal, act normal and haven't given anyone a reason to tease me. I keep to myself and am generally nice to everyone. Why are these girls fvucking around with me and what can I do to stop it without causing a fight? I've been ignoring them up to this point, but enough is enough, I don't deserve this, please help!

Well, you have three options
1) Keep ignoring it.
2) Talk to the guidance councelor/principal.
or
3) Take the group leader, there always is one, and punch her dead in the face, jump on her and pound till the teachers pull you off.

This is typical bullying. If you do not have a "No Tolerance Policy" against bullying in your school, I'm not sure how to counsel you, except, you could talk to your guidance department or vice principal without naming names, initially. They may have some suggestions since they deal with bullying on a regular basis. They may eventually want to know who the bullys are.

Have you mentioned this bullying to your parents? This type of behavior sometimes starts simple like this (what you describe) and can get worse. I'm sure you've heard about girls IMing all kinds of nasty stuff to an undeserving victim until the poor girl doesn't know where to turn. Having your parents support can mean everything when you feel alone in the world. They can even help you out with school administration if you don't feel you are getting anywhere by yourself, or if you don't feel you have the courage to do it alone.

You must do this, however. You cannot let these girls get away with this behavior, and turning them in is the only way to make them stop. I know you don't want to be a "snitch", and this probably is making you think that your reputation will suffer and that is why I asked if your school had a "Zero Tolerance" policy against bullying. If they do, you should be protected by that policy. Find out all you can from your guidance department without naming names, and good luck.

You are right! No one deserves to be teased no matter how young or old they might be. Girls can be very mean sometimes. Once they become part of a group - each trying to be someone special in it - they can become catty and obnoxious. Obviously, this has happened to you.
One would hope ignoring them would shift their attention elsewhere but obviously this has not happened. They are too busy amusing themselves at someone Else's expense. The next time they would do this I would immediately turn around and in a loud yet steady voice thank them for all their help. Laugh (at them), and walk away shaking your head like you can't believe what idiots they are. When I'm driving and someone really gets hostile honking their horn or yelling - I wave and smile at them and it drives them crazy and I am not stooping to their level at any time. Same premise just a different situation.

If that doesn't dissuade them then I'd go to a guidance counselor and ask him/her what to do. It should not be allowed to continue because they will only find another target in their games and who knows what damage they will do along the way. It is a form of bullying/ intimidation and with all that's been in the news lately I'm surprised it has not been noticed and completely stopped. Bring it to someones attention..Good luck

Well, since ignoring them is not working there is only 2 other options available to you. 1. Is to start confronting them as the occurrances happen. 2. Would be to bring it to the attention of your parents or the teachers. I don't know about the state that you live in but here in South Carolina we have harassment laws that protect teacher and students. 3. Would be to take it to local Law Enforcement and let them handle it but remember when confronting a person be firm but do not be threating be cause the tables could turn on you if you hit a girl.....

To be completely honest, this is why I don't have many "girl" friends. Girls have a large tendency to be catty and competitive.
My advice to you is, don't worry about them. Let them do whatever they want, act like it doesn't even phase you. It's a game to them, and they most likely don't have anything better to do. They are waiting for a reaction out of you....don't give in. Trust me, I know right now it seems like the worst thing that can happen to you....but years down the road you'll look back and be glad you weren't a part of such immaturity.
Keep your head up.

Same thing used to happen to me, only it was guys. I never managed to escape it until college, really. For me, the problem was that I was attractive, but a nerd in the 'untouchable' caste. So they'd flirt with me and pick on me in the same breath (I didn't figure this out until my worst tormentor asked me out. The answer was no, of course). Must have been very frustrating for them.

Try turning to them and asking them straight up, firmly but nicely, exactly what the problem is. If they deny anything's going on, tell them all evidence to the contrary and to either fess up or leave you alone.

had the same problem years ago..do what I did back in school....everybody has people they like....even popular people! find out what guys they like and make friends with them. they'll stop acting like d.c.'s because they don't want to look bad to the guys they like and once you get a good rep you'll never get teased again.

They are doing whatever they can to get a rise out of you, just ignore them sooner or later they will either leave you alone, figuring you are a boring mark, or it will escalate into them trying to pick a fight and at that time you can punch them in the nose that way its self defense, not you instigating it.

Don't bother confronting it while it's going on.. it makes things worse. Get one at a time and talk for a second. If that doesn't stop things, it should at least clue you in on what's going on. (Which you probably already have an idea whatever it is already)

If all else fails you can report them, but I wouldn't advise it.
