why do mexican men like white women over black women?

because all i c on the hispanic channel on comercials are white women, and if there latina there super light! i don't see whats the big deal with everyone non-white liking white women alot, but they always put black women on the bottom, phu lease, black women are beautiful too.

I am Mexican, I live in Mexico and I think in Mexico we have this culture of think that whites have relationships only with whites and black with black *yeah latin people are white too* and I think it is not about a racial stuff I mean I don't think Mexicans hate black people *well some people do but not all* in my case I love black men, my boyfriend is black and my family accept him but sometimes my uncle ask why I like black men I don't give him an answer because even when I could told him why I like black men he would not understand...

I will agree with idea of what you see on TV is not always the way things are. My take is this though. Its for the same reason that black men like white women. Some would speculate that it is because of how much crap a white woman will take from a man. I always hear of how the black woman is "not to be messed with," and how they are so strong willed VS dirt bag boyfriends and husbands. I think people who chose white for this reason are being exploiters and aren't the best of people. Though anecdotal I think it holds some truth. The #1 thing, however, I believe is the desire to have something different maybe even exotic. If a person was taught that interracial relationships are wrong, they may do it to "buck the system" or prove it can work. Really, in the end, all women are the same. Its not like whitie has some new improved features.

There are many troubles with television and entertainment.



1. the hotter you are, the more you'll get opportunities acting, modeling, even singing.

2. Everyone seems to be in shape on shows everyone watches which makes people who aren't thin or in shape feel or look inferior. Comedy or reality tv shows like "The Biggest Loser" or "Celebrity Fit Club" happen to be the only shows that show bigger people.

3. People can send mixed messages or confuse the audience when someone portrays a character that they aren't. What I mean Example: Jennifer Lopez is Puerto Rican and she played Selena who is Mexican. Or a light skinned Black women with green eyes playing a white woman. Or a tan White woman playing an Israeli or Hispanic woman.


4. Too much of an obvious argument (White men or Women playing the main characters, surviving at the end, or having the best romance stories.) Not an argument I made, but it's been stated over and over.



5. Movies that have something to do with cultural influences like Kung fu Movies, or a Hispanic soap opera or slavery, or any movie showing a Minority seems to get ranked either low budget or lower than that completely different.



There are many things, but not all is negative, but I do agree that there is not enough differentiability to set a positive note to all viewers.


Maybe when it comes to Hollywood or people living the high life, they don't see the real beauty in reality as people like us do. Because there is no perfect man or woman, or perfect race. Beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and races, lets not forget personality.

I don't think Mexican men like white women better over black women, race has nothing to do with it, not all mexicans have dark skin, it's just that opposites attract, I think that there are very beautiful black women and good looking black guys, I am Mexican and I am naturally blonde w/curly hair and have green eyes, not what you expect a Mexican to look like, and I am usually attracted to darker skinned toned guys, but there's not a lot of black people in Mexico, there are however very darked skin toned people.

First off most Mexican men have date or marry Mexican women. It is only a small percentage who date and marry White women. I been to million of weddings and the Husband and Wife were Mexican. Mexicans usually like sticking to their own ethnic group and their is nothing wrong with that.

I am part mexican so I'll undertake this question and give the answer a go. I agree, black women are just as beautiful as white women. But women are women no matter what color. As for white women, white women are cool too, some if not most of them look good like snow white. To each is own, and I grew up looking at all women as preferrable to men, men can never be a fine as women who come in all colors and walks of life. Now, back to this white women thing. White women are made out to be the all American way to go because its all about white women in everything from advertising nylons to popping pop corn to testing the finest perfumes, and it matters not much to me if those women were black or latinas or chinese, but it is cool, white women make the grade, and I believe if there are mermaids that they are white as can be with pink lips but no feet, just fins.

If you look throughout the Years the portuguese had been having sexual relations with African women in Europe and Brasil including also since slavery,But Latins we come in all different shades some from are lineage there will be one child who will come out tanner and the other paler skin that does not matter,but skin contrast does not mean in nessisarily because alot of the spaniards in europe have some middleeastern heritage!!.

Because white women are considered by the media to be the standard of beauty. It is getting better though, we see more images of ethnic women, but notice that these women have light complexions, lighter than most in their ethnic group. Mexican men, like all men want what they see everyday on television and in ads. The lighter/whiter the better.

Not all the women on the hispanic channels are white. Actually, there are a lot of hispanics that look white. It just depends where their families are from and what ther lineage is.
