My milk just came in and I pumped for the first time and the milk looks orange. Is that normal?

yea.. sometimes it'll be a little blue or green as well... it depends on what youve eaten.

Sorry to say but that does not sound normal. Breast milk shoud be like an off white color or even beige almost like regular milk. Not orange. Maybe you ate a lot of carrots?

It's probably due to something you ate. It might also turn slight greenish if you've eaten a lot of green veggies. Also I've noticed that GNC's Women's Ultra Vitamins turn my milk green (took me a while to figure out what was the cause). It can also look slightly bluish, like non fat skim milk, but it is definitely not low fat, it's actually very high in fat.

ever since i got my breastmilk it has been white, orange does not sound right, i would talk to a doctor about it before giving it to your baby.
